Coronavirus: Kuwait confirms two more deaths, 80 new Covid-19 cases

The total number of infections in Kuwait has increased to 1,995 after 80 new cases were confirmed.

Kuwait has reported a further two deaths from the coronavirus.

It takes the country’s death toll at the hands of Covid-19 up to nine, while the total number of infections has increased to 1,995 after 80 new cases were confirmed.

At a news briefing on Monday, Health Ministry spokesperson Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said that 39 patients were in intensive care, 26 of them in a critical condition.

He added that 1,619 patients are currently receiving treatment in various hospitals.

The two fatalities were a 49-year-old Bangladeshi man and a 55-year-old Indian man; both were receiving treatment at ICU.

Earlier on Monday, Health Minister Dr. Basel Al-Sabah announced the recovery of 62 patients, bringing the total to 367 recoveries.
