Specialised pressured tubes were previously used during Ebola epidemic
Patients suffering from Covid-19 in Dubai are being transferred to hospital in specialised pressured tubes in order to mitigate the spread of the deadly virus.
The EpiShuttle is a single-patient isolation and transport system, designed to provide maximum patient safety and comfort while allowing critical care and treatment to be performed.

In a video released by Dubai Government on social media on Monday, included the statement: “To ensure maximum protection for its medical staff, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services utilises negative pressure isolation Epishuttle to transfer Covid-19 patients.”
Not only does it protect vulnerable patients, but it also means ambulances do not need to be sterilised and disinfected after each journey.
EpiShuttles have previously been used during the Ebola epidemic.
There are currently 7,265 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the UAE, 5,862 being active, and 43 deaths. To date, 1,360 people have recovered from the Covid-19 virus.
