Coronavirus: Oman confirms 85 new cases of Covid-19, total stands at 2,568

There were no new deaths reported on Sunday, with the number of Covid-19-related fatalities in Oman remaining at 12.

Oman announced 85 new positive cases of coronavirus in the Sultanate on Sunday, taking the total confirmed number of infections up to 2,568.

According to the Ministry of Health (MoH), the cases involved 21 Omanis and 64 expat citizens.

There were no new deaths reported, with the number of Covid-19-related fatalities remaining at 12.

The ministry also revealed that a total of 750 patients have recovered from coronavirus.

A statement on the Oman News Agency website said: “MoH calls upon all to adhere to the health isolation procedures (in a room with own toilet), as the isolated person is served from outside the room as per the guidelines.

“The ministry also advises citizens and residents to keep on washing hands with water and soap, as well as avoiding touching the face, nose, mouth and eyes, and following the healthy habits when coughing and sneezing.”
