Ministry of Health announced 69 new positive cases of Covid-19 on Monday

Coronavirus: Al Wadi Al Kabir cordoned off as total cases in Oman reaches 2,637

The MoH revealed that, of the new cases, 37 are nationals and 32 are non-Omanis.

The Al Wadi Al Kabir industrial area of Muscat has been cordoned off by officials following an order from the Supreme Committee to restrict the spread of coronavirus.

A statement on the Oman News Agency website said: “Muscat Municipality called on all to cooperate fully in order to maintain public health and the necessity to adhere to the controls and all preventive safety measures to serve the public interest.”

It comes as the Ministry of Health (MoH) announced on Monday 69 new positive cases of coronavirus in the Sultanate, bringing the total number up to 2,637. There were no new deaths reported, with the country’s death toll remaining at 12.

The MoH revealed that, of the new cases, 37 are nationals and 32 are non-Omanis.

It was also announced that a total of 816 cases of Covid-19 have recovered.
