Coronavirus: UAE confirms 11 more deaths, 567 new confirmed Covid-19 cases

Dr. Amna Al Dahak Al Shamsi, official spokesperson of the UAE Government.

Eleven more people in the UAE, of different nationalities, were confirmed to have died of coronavirus on Monday, taking the death toll in the country up to 137.

It comes as Dr. Amna Al Dahak Al Shamsi, official spokesperson of the UAE Government, revealed an additional 567 new cases, taking the total number of infections in the UAE to 14,730.

Dr Al Shamsi added that a further 18,698 tests were carried out across the country.

While 203 more patients have recovered from Covid-19, raising the total number of recoveries to 2,966.

Dr. Al Shamsi said: "The safety and health of all is a top priority for our government and our leadership. Let us ensure that we follow preventative measures, as social distancing today will bring us together tomorrow, and a promising future awaits. Our nation will overcome this challenge with determination."
