Coronavirus: Kuwait announces 278 new cases, two more deaths

Kuwait Health Ministry revealed that 91 patients were in intensive care with 39 critical cases.

Kuwait announced 278 new cases of coronavirus on Thursday, taking the country’s total Covid-19 infection number up to 6,567.

The Ministry of Health also revealed two more deaths, with the death toll in Kuwait now standing at 44.

Health Ministry spokesperson Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad added that 91 patients were in intensive care with 39 critical cases.

Those currently receiving treatment at hospitals reached 4,142 patients.

Earlier on Thursday, Health Minister Dr. Basel Al-Sabah announced the recovery of 162 patients as the total is brought to 2,381 recoveries.

He said the recovered will be transferred to a hospital recuperation ward, pending discharge within the next few days.
