Coronavirus: UAE reports 781 new cases, 13 more deaths

More than 25 percent of patients who have tested positive for Covid-19 have now recovered.

The UAE confirmed a further 781 new cases of coronavirus on Sunday, taking the total to 18,198.

While the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) revealed 13 more people had died at the hands of Covid-19, with the death toll pushed up to 198.

The new cases were identified after an additional 29,000 tests were conducted across the country.

Meanwhile, another 509 patients have recovered from the deadly virus, 4,804 in total – more than 25 percent of patients who have tested positive for Covid-19 have now recovered.

Over four million cases of coronavirus have been confirmed throughout the world, while the virus has claimed the lives of over 280,000 people.
