Coronavirus: Oman reports additional 157 cases of Covid-19, one more fatality

Oman announced 157 new cases of coronavirus on Sunday and a further fatality at the hands of the Covid-19 virus.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Sultanate currently stands at 5,186, while the death toll has risen to 22. The additional death involved a 48-year-old, according to a report by the Oman News Agency.

The Ministry of Health said the new cases involved 81 Omanis and 76 expatriates.

A total of 1,465 people have recovered from the virus.

There are over 4.7 million confirmed cases of coronavirus across the world, with more than 313,000 deaths recorded.
