There are currently 10,645 patients receiving medical attention for coronavirus in the country, 168 of whom are in intensive care
Kuwait’s Ministry of Health announced 1,048 new cases of coronavirus on Sunday, bringing the total to 14,850.
The death toll in the country has also increased to 112 after a further five fatalities were reported.
Health Ministry spokesperson Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad revealed the infection cases included 242 Kuwaitis, 242 Indians, 238 Egyptians, 53 Bangladeshis and the rest of various nationalities.
He said the highest contamination was discovered in a variety of densely populated districts, including Al-Farwaniya (319), Hawally (288), AlAhmadi (196), Al-Assima (142) and Al-Jahraa (103).

Earlier on Sunday it was announced that 250 patients had recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 4,093.
Dr. Al-Sanad added that 462 people had ended quarantine in the past 24 hours, although they will remain in house isolation for 14 days.
It was also revealed that authorities conducted 3,760 swab tests over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of tests for coronavirus to 244,476.
