Coronavirus: Kuwait announces 692 new cases of Covid-19, three more deaths

Health Minister Sheikh Dr. Basel Al-Sabah has confirmed the recovery of 640 additional novel coronavirus patients, bringing the total number of recoveries to 7,946.

Kuwait reported a further 692 cases of coronavirus on Wednesday, taking the total number of infections in the country to 23,267.

Kuwait’s Ministry of Health also confirmed that three more patients had died from Covid-19 over the last 24 hours, which brings the death toll in the country up to 175.

In his daily briefing, ministry spokesperson Abdullah Al-Sanad revealed that the latest cases involved 17 Kuwaiti citizens, 165 residents from India, 95 from Egypt and 94 from Bangladesh, among other nationalities.

He said that 15,146 patients are still receiving medical treatment, 193 of whom are in intensive care units.

Al-Sanad added that medical teams had carried out 2,738 swab tests for the virus, with the total number of tests now up to 278,945.

Earlier on Wednesday Health Minister Sheikh Dr. Basel Al-Sabah confirmed the recovery of 640 additional novel coronavirus patients, bringing the total number of recoveries to 7,946.
