Coronavirus: Oman announces further Covid-19-related death

The Ministry of Health has announced 255 new positive cases of Covid-19 – 166 involving Omani nationals and 89 expatriates.

A 67-year-old patient has become the latest victim of the deadly Covid-19 virus in Oman.

Authorities revealed on Wednesday that the patient had become the 38th person to die from coronavirus in the sultanate.

It comes as the Ministry of Health announced 255 new positive cases of Covid-19 – 166 involving Omani nationals and 89 expatriates.

It brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 2,177.

The ministry also revealed that a total of 2,177 patients have recovered from the virus.
