Coronavirus: UAE announces 596 new cases of Covid-19, three more deaths

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHaP) announced 596 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday after conducting over 35,000 additional Covid-19 tests.

According to the ministry, the new cases are in a “stable” condition and are receiving medical treatment. It takes the total number of cases in the country up to 35,788.

MoHaP also revealed three more deaths as a result of Covid-19, with the death toll in the UAE rising to 269.

During the daily update it was noted that an additional 388 people had fully recovered from coronavirus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 18,726.

The UAE has taken measures to ease the lockdown in recent days, including opening up parks and beaches to the public and, from Wednesday, shopping malls and private offices can operate at 100 percent capacity.

Authorities have called on the public to adhere to social distancing protocols and preventative measures.
