Coronavirus: Oman reports 738 new cases, eight more Covid-19 deaths

Members of the public in Oman were reminded to abide by the health and safety guidelines designed to mitigate the spread of coronavirus.

Oman reported 738 new positive cases of coronavirus on Wednesday as the total number of infections increased to 13,538.

According to the Ministry of Health (MOH), 324 of the new cases involve Omani nationals and 414 expatriates.

A further eight deaths were confirmed, with the death toll in the Sultanate rising to 67.

The Ministry also pointed out that a total of 2,845 people have recovered from the Covid-19 virus.

Members of the public in Oman were reminded to abide by the health and safety guidelines designed to mitigate the spread of coronavirus, including maintaining social distancing and washing hands regularly.

There are currently almost 6.5 million confirmed cases of coronavirus across the world and over 383,000 deaths.
