UAE detects 624 new coronavirus cases

The Ministry of Health called on the public to adhere to measures like social distancing to curb the spread of Covid-19.

The UAE has detected 624 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 37,642, according to the Ministry of Health and Prevention.

It said the infected individuals are in a stable condition, but announced one new death, taking the total number of deaths in the country to 274, reported news agency WAM.

The news comes as the ministry conducted over 44,000 additional Covid-19 tests, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.

In a statement, it said it is expanding its testing nationwide to help detect new coronavirus cases early and carry out the necessary treatments. 

It also announced that an additional 765 individuals have fully recovered from the virus.

Moreover, it called on the public to adhere to measures like social distancing to curb the spread of Covid-19.
