Covid-19: Oman announces 866 new cases

Health authorities have detected 866 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Oman, according to the country’s Ministry of Health.

Citing ministry statistics, the state-run Oman News Agency is reporting that the new cases bring the sultanate’s total to 16,882.

To date, the country has also recorded 75 deaths as a result of coronavirus, while 3,451 patients have recovered.

Around the world, there have been over 7 million confirmed cases of Covid-19, including over 402,000 deaths and 3.4 million recoveries.
