Recoveries outpace UAE's 540 new Covid-19 cases

UAE authorities have detected an additional 540 cases of Covid-19 in the country, according to government statistics.

Additionally, one additional death was reported, bringing the UAE’s Covid-19 death toll to 276.

For the third day in a row, however, recoveries outpaced new detections, with 745 recoveries confirmed.

To date, 21,806 people have recovered from the disease in the UAE.

Over the weekend, UAE health sector spokeswoman Dr. Farida Al Hosani urged the public to remain cautious and vigilant even as restrictions are eased.

“Although restrictions have been eased in some sectors and activities, individuals remain responsible for themselves and of the people around them,” she added. “Continuing to be cautious and aware remains a key factor in these exceptional times.”
