Coronavirus: Saudi Arabia reports 3,733 new cases of Covid-19, further 38 fatalities

There are currently 1,738 patients in Saudi Arabia described as being in a “critical” condition.

Saudi Arabia has reported an additional 3,733 cases of coronavirus, with the current total number of infections in the kingdom since the pandemic began sitting at 116,021.

In a statement, the Ministry of Health added that a further 38 people had died from Covid-19, taking the death toll in the country up to 857.

"The new confirmed cases include 53 percent Saudi citizens and 47 percent non-Saudi residents. The females represent 31 percent of the cases, while the males represent 69 percent," the Ministry of Health said.

There are currently 35,145 active cases in the kingdom receiving medical care, with 1,738 described as being in a “critical” condition.

Health authorities have registered an additional 2,065 people who have recovered from the deadly virus, with total recoveries now reaching 80,019.
