HH Sheikh Mohammed inaugurates event

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum opened this year's GITEX Technology Week amidst great expectations of a week of announcements and knowledge exchange.

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum opened this year's GITEX Technology Week amidst great expectations of a week of announcements and knowledge exchange.

Taking place at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) until 23 October, GITEX Technology Week will welcome more than 130,000 visitors and 3300 companies from 83 countries.

"We are honoured to have His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, open GITEX Technology Week this year," says Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General, Dubai World Trade Centre.

The presence of His Highness highlights the importance of the ICT industry to Dubai and the region, as companies look to build long-lasting relationships within the UAE and wider Middle East."
