Saudi automotive distributor, Haji Husein Alireza & Co (HHA), lowers operating costs and streamlines business with Oracle ERP project.

Saudi automotive distributor, Haji Husein Alireza & Co (HHA), has gone live with its Oracle 11i implementation. The project included the migration of over nine years of the company’s financial information into the new business applications.

“Our long term partnership with Oracle has enabled HHA to plan, develop and execute this growth strategy and will support our operations in the future,” comments Ahmedullah Khan, manager information systems, HHA.

“The security and reliability of Oracle’s technology, plus [its] ability to support [large] volumes of data, made Oracle the realistic choice for a project of this scale,” Khan adds.

The 11i deployment has enabled HHA to lower its operating costs, improve the quality of its business data and reinforce its back-up an recovery operations.

The project has also laid the foundations of HHA’s business intelligence strategy. The 11i implementation has created a data warehouse framework within the organisation that will enable the company’s executive team to analysis business trends and develop strategies.

“We were the first company in the Kingdom to use and achieve measurable results with Oracle products,” comments Khan.

“With the completion of this project, we’re able to take full advantage of [the] Oracle [platform] with greater cost efficiency, enterprise-wide process optimisation and a sharper competitive edge,” he adds.

HHA’s won in-house development team built automotive applications using Oracle Developer Suite and deployed them across Oracle9i Database and Oracle9i Application Server. Components of the Oracle E-Business Suite 11i, including Oracle Financials, are at the heart of HHA’s business applications.

“HHA has made a major advancement by modernising its technology and maximising the competitive advantage it can realise over the coming years,” says Husam Dajani, vice president for Oracle Middle East.

“By integrating Oracle E-Business Suite standard functionality with in-house developed automotive applications, HHA has gained a competitive advantage at the lowest cost of ownership,” adds Dajani.
