High hopes for this year’s ATM

This year’s installment of Arabian Travel Market (ATM) will be “better than ever” with pre-registrations, exhibitor numbers and floor space occupied on track to set new records, according to organiser, Reed Travel Exhibition (RTE).

This year’s installment of Arabian Travel Market (ATM) will be “better than ever” with pre-registrations, exhibitor numbers and floor space occupied on track to set new records, according to organiser, Reed Travel Exhibition (RTE).

Pre-registrations are already up 116% on 2006 levels, 20% more exhibitors are lined up, and an additional 2500m² floor space has been reserved at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), taking the total area occupied to 25,000m².

“We are projecting a 10% growth on the actual show in terms of floor space,” said Chris Chackal, group exhibitions director, overseas events, RTE.

He revealed that Zimbabwe had signed up for the first time and that Taiwan, Nigeria and Bangladesh were also considering their debut at the event, which takes place from May 1-4.

Exhibitors had welcomed RTE’s new floor plan, which includes placing international stand at the centre of the show, with GCC arenas flanking them, according to Chackal.

“They also appreciate our pre-event preparation workshop, which will take place in Dubai,” he added.
