The increasing use of credit cards, smart cards and the rapidly growing number of ATMs is generating a need for secure payment solutions, claims HPS.
Hightech Payment Systems (HPS) is looking to build its local customer base with the opening of a regional office in Dubai Internet City (DIC). The software vendor plans to capitalise on local market trends, such as the increasing use of credit cards, smart cards and the explosion in automated teller machines (ATMs) to promote its range of secure payment solutions.At the heart of HPS’ offering is its PowerCard technology, which enables companies to process information from prepaid, credit, purchase, loyalty, payroll, ATM and other types of cards. HPS already has a number of customers in the region using PowerCard.“PowerCard has become the solution of choice for a number of organisations, and HPS sees huge potential for growth in the Middle East,” says Mohammed Horani, chief executive officer, HPS. “Our office in Dubai will enable us to provide constant round-the-clock support for our existing customers and help us reach out to new clients. Companies in the region are making great strides in adopting innovative solutions, and HPS provides technology that ensures they can compete at the highest levels,” he adds.HPS’ PowerCard is a range of web-based software, which integrates front end functions, such as ATM switching, POS driving, while managing certified interfaces from the likes of MasterCard, Visa, Diner and American Express, and back office functions such as credit card management, merchant acquiring and national/international clearing.“As economic growth continues and customers look to use a wider range of payment options, companies are looking for innovative solutions that can manage huge volumes of financial data. We’re seeing substantial demand for our solution across the region from financial institutions, retail [outlets] and energy/telecoms providers,” comments Horani.
