Hilton Worldwide and DoubleTree by Hilton on Thursday announced the opening of its latest property in Ras Al Khaimah.

DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island joins Hilton Worldwide's portfolio of four hotels in the emirate, with the latest located on Marjan Island, one of five artificial islands.

With views of the Arabian Gulf, the 485-room DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island features a mix of guest rooms and suites, sea-view rooms and villas, all with access to the resort's private 650-metre beach.

"Ras Al Khaimah is a destination filled with fascinating surprises, and it's easy to see why the Emirate is attracting more visitors seeking the true essence of the Middle East," said John Greenleaf, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton.

"DoubleTree by Hilton has enjoyed great success in Ras Al Khaimah since opening our first UAE location there in 2011, and I am delighted that we can now offer an upscale beach resort option to travellers in the UAE."

In addition to the private beach, on site facilities include a fitness centre, five temperature controlled pools, and a wide range of dining options.

The hotel will also feature the UAE's first eforea: spa, Hilton Worldwide 's exclusive spa concept, the operator said in a statement.

Rudi Jagersbacher, president, Hilton Worldwide Middle East and Africa said: "I am delighted we now have four diverse upscale hotels open in Ras Al Khaimah, a rising destination where tourism is a vital element of the local economy.

"As a global company with a worldwide reach, Hilton Worldwide is making a worthy contribution in raising the profile of Ras Al Khaimah on the international stage and helping to support its growing status as a leading destination for authentic culture, tradition and adventure."
