Hilton Egypt saw revenues rise 8% year-on-year for the first quarter, with RevPAR increasing by 10% and earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation up 20%.

Hilton Hotels vice-president operations Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan Simon Hasdell said the four Cairo properties contributed significantly to the region's financial resuts.

"Our regional flagship, the Nile Hilton, remans the market leader with an increase in MPI (market penetration index) of nearly 3% for Q1 this year in comparison with the same period last year," he said.
