Hot off the presses

Abu Dhabi Drilling Company has agreed a major deal with HP for printers and scanners. The company will be getting everything from entry level to high end, large format laser jet printers.

Abu Dhabi Drilling Company (ADDCO) has agreed a major deal with HP for printers and scanners. The company will be getting everything from entry level to high end, large format laser jet printers.Among the printers ADDCO will be buying are the HP LaserJet 4200 and 4600 series, which provide customised high-speed printing options, network-ready solutions and a wide variety of paper-handling and finishing accessories. It will also be utilizing high-end black and white laser jet printers, including the 8150 series and large format printers, such as the DesignJet 1050, which offer high volume technical printing solutions, as well as multi-page scanners. “We are a high volume user of printing and imaging technology,” says Harold Grayson of ADDCO. “And in this regard there is one area where we cannot afford to compromise — quality. We looked very closely at what was available in the market and as far as quality of product and quality of service is concerned HP presented us with an excellent proposition.” “The drilling industry is one of the most demanding in its use of information technology but this is doubly so in the case of its printing and imaging requirements,” says Khaled Kamel of HP. “ADCO put us through a series of very testing procedures but we were very pleased with the performance of our products. The large scale order that we have secured from ADCO is testimony to the quality of these products,” he continues.
