Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has signed an agreement with La Vender Real Estate to open a new Element hotel in Dubai, expected to become the fourth Element hotel in the fast-evolving market.
Scheduled to open in 2019, Element Dubai Al Sufouh will offer 330 units, the hotel giant said in a statement.
“We are delighted to sign a new Element hotel with La Vender Real Estate and further strengthen the brand’s pipeline in the UAE,” said Guido de Wilde, senior vice president, Regional Director, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Middle East.
Badr Khalid Mohammed Al Mulla, executive director of La Vender Real Estate added: “Starwood is the leading hotel operator in Dubai and we look forward to working together to open Element Al Sufouh. We wanted to build a long-stay project in Al Sufouh and feel the positioning of the Element brand is the perfect fit for this development.”
Element Dubai Al Sufouh will feature 330 studios and one bedroom suites. Hotel amenities will include food and beverage outlets including the Restore gourmet pantry, fitness centre, two swimming pools and a spa.
The hotel will be located in the Al Sufouh area and will be the tallest building of a part of a master development with 39 floors, the statement added.
“The Element brand is enjoying unprecedented growth and is on track to more than double its global portfolio in the next three years,“ said Neil George, senior vice president Acquisitions & Development, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Africa and Middle East.
