56 resellers will receive notification letters from HP by the end of this week
A total of 56 resellers will receive notification letters from HP by the end of this week confirming their status as Gold partners on the vendor’s Preferred Partner Programme.
The application deadline for the eagerly-anticipated Gold certification officially closed last Wednesday, with HP originally expecting 51 Middle East partners to qualify. HP initially floated the idea of a top-level Gold membership two years ago, but has only just got round to implementing it following a series of tweaks. The status is designed to recognise partners that are committed to investing heavily in HP solutions.
Bernhard Isemann, solutions partner organisation manager at HP Middle East, said that in addition to the 56 Gold partners, HP has also approved 280 Preferred Partners — doubling the amount of qualified business partners it now has in the region.
“I think we have a very good set of Gold partners now — there is a good mix of partners across the region to provide systems integration solutions and on the other side we have a strong base of transactional partners,” said Isemann. “Notifications have been going out in the past few days and by 15th September everybody will have received one.” HP partners that qualify for the Gold branding will enjoy exclusive access to certain programmes, various operational benefits and a higher level of marketing funds. Preferred Partners, meanwhile, will be granted more choice when it comes to deciding which product-specific programmes to participate in, rather than being served a blanket quarterly revenue target. Both accreditations last for one year, upon which time each partner’s status is reviewed. For all the latest tech news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
