Huawei to provide packet switched network for Mobily

Packet Switched Core Network will improve performance for Mobily's HSDPA services

Mobily has selected Huawei to supply a Packet Switched Core Network (PS-CN) for HSDPA deployment.

The Huawei Packet Core solution will enhance the stability and reliability of Mobily's 3.5G HSDPA network, to ensure smooth delivery of mobile service to consumers. The IP network will also allow Mobily to develop innovative services for its pre-paid customers.

The PS-CN will make Mobily's Saudi network one of the largest packet core installations in the world, with highest data traffic of any network, according to Huawei.

Zhang Xinyu, vice president of Huawei core network said: "We are honoured to have been selected for this critical role by Mobily. Huawei's innovative IP Packet Core solution, with its high-capacity, flexibility and support for multiple standards, will help Mobily continue to evolve its advanced services offerings."
