Hungary for success

Unlike the majority of commercial exhibitors at GITEX Technology Week, ITD Hungary is not out to snare a load of big name partnerships with other businesses or generate record profits from the event.

Unlike the majority of commercial exhibitors at GITEX Technology Week, ITD Hungary is not out to snare a load of big name partnerships with other businesses or generate record profits from the event.

That is because ITD Hungary is a non-profit governmental organisation intended to support bi-lateral trade and investment.

"ITD's mission is to further Hungary's international competitiveness by encouraging inward investment and helping local companies diversify their export markets," explains Panna Zsigmondi, director of priority sectors, business development at ITD Hungary. "We assist firms in their marketing activities and help them identify new opportunities and we hope to enhance business relations in the Middle East."

In addition to supporting the work of the nine Hungarian businesses that are exhibiting at GITEX, which include Navayo Research, Aquis IT Solutions, Megatrend and Magicom, ITD will also run its own stall to represent Hungary's interests at GITEX and focus on trade development and investment promotion services.
