Hyder ACLA has been appointed masterplanner of Ajman's Escape equestrian community, while De Leeuw Middle East is the project quantity surveyor and Hyder Consulting is the infrastructure consultant.

Hill International has been taken on as project manager for the US $500 million (AED1.8 billion) development, while AJ Design is the architect for the villas and low-rise residential component.

"We are assembling the best project team with local experience, vision and dedication. Our selection of these companies reflects our commitment," said Anwer Sher, general manager of Escape LLC.

Construction on the project, which will be spread over 760,000m2, will be broken down into three packages for the villas component; one package for the apartment building work and one for the equestrian component.

The main construction contractor will also undertake all infrastructure work.

The project will be located on the border of Ajman and Sharjah and will include stables for 200 horses, an equestrian spa for the rehabilitation of injured horses and indoor and outdoor riding arenas.

There will also be a hotel, clubhouse, sporting and conference facilities and restaurants.

"We are dedicated to making the project's dynamic vision become reality by implementing a specific management strategy, taking into consideration the objectives, requirements and the characteristics of the project in terms of urgency, complexity and size," said Ashraf Qishta, senior project manager for
Hill International.
