South Korea's Hyundai Engineering

Co Ltd and KCC Engineering & Construction Co Ltd have

jointly won a $380m order to build a polysilicon plant in

Saudi Arabia, unlisted Hyundai said on Wednesday.

Hyundai said in a statement that it would start construction

on the facility in April, with a test-run expected in August

2013.

Polysilicon is a key raw material for the solar industry,

which is expected to grow strongly on rising demand for renewable

energy sources.
