IBM talks up ITSM potential

Technology giant IBM insists it is seeing huge potential for its IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions in the region as large organisations in the Middle East begin to demonstrate an appetite for integrated IT infrastructure management.

Technology giant IBM insists it is seeing huge potential for its IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions in the region as large organisations in the Middle East begin to demonstrate an appetite for integrated IT infrastructure management.

The vendor claims its highly integrated set of ITSM tools is designed to accelerate the connection of people, technology, and processes, which will improve operational efficiency, and is building its hopes up regarding its success.

"More Middle East customers are realising the importance of having an integrated, flexible IT infrastructure to adapt to constantly changing circumstances and we have been encouraged by the response to our ITSM solutions," claimed Bashar Kilani, software group manager at IBM Middle East, Egypt and Pakistan.

"ITSM helps organisations better manage their IT infrastructure and deliver service excellence through a structured approach that reduces errors and manages risk," he added.

IBM's ITSM solutions include process and operational management products, and high-end consulting services.
