Egyptian Steel, a massive industrial entity comprising of four plants that produce steel with the latest eco-friendly technology in the world, has carved its name as one of the main players in the steel industry since its establishment in 2010 on a regional and global scale.

Under the leadership of its CEO, Ahmed Abou Hashima, the group has grown to acquire 20% of the steel market in Egypt in a mere 8 years.

He managed to grow and sustain this entity in the most difficult economic and political conditions Egypt has known in its modern history, with investments exceeding one billion dollars and a production capacity of 2.3 million tons annually.

Egyptian Steel Group is celebrating the commencement of operations in it’s fourth steel plant, which is strategically located near the port of Al Ain Al Sokhna in Egypt and boasts a production capacity of 830,000 tons of billet/year and 530.000 tons/year of rebars.

The technology used in this plant is eco-friendly and is a new leap towards acquiring the group’s mission of being the biggest green steel producer globally.

This technology is the world's fastest technology for steel production in just two hours, has the lowest dust emission rate which is 40% less compared to other plants, has the highest levels of sustainable development, has a top energy-saving rate ranging from 25 to 30%, and the final products comply with the highest international quality standards.

There are more massive projects in the pipeline for Egyptian Steel Group, such as the Egyptian Complex for Building Materials, with investments of over 6 billion Egyptian Pounds, including 6 plants among which is the Egyptian Cement Plant in Sohag which will boast a production capacity of 2 million tons per year and will be a major economic addition in Upper Egypt. This project is expected to launch by the end of 2018.
