Dubai-based Noor Bank has announced the departure of Hussain Al Qemzi from his position as managing director, effective from October 31.

Al Qemzi was CEO of Noor Bank from its inception in 2008 until June when he became the bank’s first managing director, the bank said in a statement.

A spokesperson for the board said: “I would like to place on record my deep appreciation of Hussain’s energy, dedication and leadership in building Noor Bank from its inception to the strong, innovative A-rated bank that it has become today.

“I am confident that our CEO John Iossifidis will build on this legacy and ensure that Noor Bank continues to be at the forefront of the UAE banking industry as an innovative Shari’a-compliant bank committed to delivering the highest quality banking experience to our customers.”
