Ahli United Bank, Bahrain’s largest lender by market value, swung to a quarterly profit, it said on Thursday.
The banks said in a statement that net profit in 2009 was $200.7 million, 21 percent below the $255.7 million in 2008, and said it made a fourth-quarter net profit of $17.04 mln, compared with a $24.38 million net loss a year earlier.
The bank proposed to pay a 2009 cash dividend of 8 percent compared with 10 percent in 2008. (Reuters)
