It has been estimated that gas consumption worldwide will increase from 285bn to 440bn standard cubic feet per day by 2025, according to Qatar’s energy minister.
Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah conveyed to delegates at the 12th Middle East Gas Summit that natural gas was the most rapidly growing component of the world energy mix, and is projected to make up 25% of total energy sources by 2025.
