The UAE and US will resume trade talks next month, however, no venue has been set. Negotiations on a deal began in March 2005 and stalled after DP World was forced to sell its US port operations following political pressure from several US senators.
There have also been disagreements over issues such as the UAEs labour reforms, foreign investment and the opening up of markets such as the telecoms sector.
