The tender for the main construction package on the Wahat Al Sahra villa development at Khalifa City in Abu Dhabi is currently being prepared and contractors will be invited to bid within the next few months.
Germany-based Archigramm has been appointed as architect and consulting engineer for the project, which has been valued at US $8.1 million (AED30 million).
Construction is expected to begin in October this year and is due for completion in the fourth quarter of 2008.
The development will be made up of six deluxe five-bedroom villas, each covering an area of 724m2.
Asteco has won the sales contract for the project.
“With the largest and tallest towers being launched daily, the developer felt the need to create a residential property that is personal, private and exclusive,” said Damian Hill, Asteco’s sales team leader in Abu Dhabi.
“Each villa has been carefully planned after a market study into what makes an ideal living environment.”
