Arada has announced the awarding of two contracts totalling AED1.48 billion for the construction of Sequoia and Saro, the final two phases of the Masaar woodland megaproject in Sharjah’s Suyoh district.
The contracts will see the construction of 1,025 homes, with work commencing immediately and the entire community slated for completion by the end of 2026.
Pivot Engineering & General Contracting, an Abu Dhabi-based firm, has secured the AED650 million contract to construct 428 homes in Sequoia.
The AED830 million contract to build 597 units in Saro, the sixth and final phase of Masaar, has been awarded to Intermass, a Sharjah-based contractor.
Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada, said, “We are thrilled to award these contracts in a timely manner, ensuring that the Masaar community is delivered efficiently and to an exceptional level of quality. Since the project’s launch over three years ago, our buyers have witnessed significant growth in the capital appreciation of their homes, and we are committed to continuing this success. Masaar offers a unique, nature-inspired lifestyle that sets it apart from any other community in the UAE, providing residents with a serene and enriching living environment.”

With the construction of Sequoia and Saro beginning immediately, all homes are expected to be completed by summer 2026. These new awards increase the total number of homes under construction at Masaar to 2,570, with the first phase having already seen the completion of 430 homes by the end of 2023.
The second and third phases, Kaya and Robinia, comprising 986 homes, are set to be completed in the coming months. Upon completion, Masaar will feature 3,000 villas and townhouses spread across six gated districts, all interconnected by a green spine adorned with 70,000 trees.
The Masaar community already boasts several completed amenities, including the Masaar Discovery Center, a children’s adventure playground, a water play area, a skate park, and the Zad food truck park.
Additionally, the Masaar Track, a 6.6-kilometer forested cycleway featuring bridges and tunnels, attracts thousands of cyclists each month. The Loop provides onsite bike rental and repair services along with a café.

Strategically located in the burgeoning Suyoh district, Masaar is close to Tilal City, the Sharjah Mosque, and Arada’s inaugural project, Nasma Residences.
The community benefits from easy access to Emirates Road and Mleiha Road and is a short drive from both Sharjah International Airport and Dubai International Airport.
