ASHRAE Qatar Chapter Chartered: The Qatar Oryx Chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) has been officially formed.
A Chartering ceremony was held during April, with the inauguration carried out by ASHRAE president Kent Peterson and the director and regional chair for the region at large, Samir Taraboulsi.
The ASHRAE Qatar Oryx Chapter was approved by the Society’s board of governors at the 2008 ASHRAE Winter Meeting. Imad Mobayed will serve as the first president of the Chapter.
