The CEO of developer Hydra Properties has revealed the firm is in talks with property tycoon Donald Trump for the construction of a skyscraper on Abu Dhabi’s Reem Island.
Hydra and the Trump Organisation could announce their tower development agreement next week, UAE daily The National reported on Thursday.
Chief executive Sulaiman Al Fahim said the plan was to build a mixed-use residential and hotel tower, but negotiations were continuing.
Al Fahim would not disclose any further details, other than the building would be a very tall tower.
The talks had been affected by a disagreement over the development’s name, with the Trump Organisation preferring to use their name alone, while Al Fahim was insisting on both Hydra and Trump, he told the newspaper.
