Dutch win Porta Reef piling

Dutch Foundation & Concrete Processing (DFCP) as been awarded a contract for the enabling and piling work at the Porta Reef development in Bahrain.

Dutch Foundation & Concrete Processing (DFCP) as been awarded a contract for the enabling and piling work at the Porta Reef development in Bahrain.

The project, which is being developed by Abu Dhabi Investment House, has been valued at US $90 million (BHD 30 million).

The contract will also involve the construction of a Client Relationship Centre for Porta Reef, along with excavation, shoring and preparation of site offices.

The award of the contract represents the beginning of a 17-month process to develop Porta Reef, which will be completed over two phases.

Porta Reef is ADIH’s latest addition to its real estate portfolio, and is situated on Reef Island in the Seef District.  The project is made up of three residential towers.

Reef Island is a joint venture between the government of Bahrain and the Mouawad Group Real Estate Development Company. The $1.25 billion freehold development covers an area of just under 600,000 m
