Iberotel, the Egyptian-based hotel group opened the doors to its first hotel in the UAE last month in Fujairah. The 5-star beach resort, with its low level Moorish architecture, will have interiors in keeping with its Arabic surroundings.
Nora Hossam El Din, marketing manager, Iberotel Miramar Al Aqah Beach Resort explained the concept behind the design: “The interiors were chosen by designer Dora Chaity, who keeps the Arabic feel by using authentic materials. The hotel has huge chandeliers, wooden arabesque mashrabiyas, marble domes and warm, deep colours for the furniture along with Arabic patterns.”
The hotel, situated in the Hajaar Mountains of Fujairah, has its own open-air amphitheatre as well as health club, pool complex and shopping arcade.
