To align its museum architecture with global standards, Iran is planning its first international seminar on museum architecture.
Mohammad-Reza Kargar, director of Iran’s National Museum, points out that, in Iran, there is little difference between museums and other buildings of similar size, which is justification for the educational initiative.
There is currently a push in Iran to make architecture a specialised field of study in national universities.
