Construction material firm Rinker Group has made two further acquisitions, adding to its growing list of assets in the country.
The firm has acquired quarry, other aggregates assets and four concrete plants from JR & Sons Ready Mix in Utah, as well as Union Concrete, which operates three concrete plants in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The acquisitions have added 3.6 million tonnes of aggregate and 300,000m

of concrete subsidiary Rinker Materials’ annual production output.
The board of Rinker recently rejected a US $11.7 million takeover bid from Mexico’s Cemex.
