Saudi construction firm alfanar has signed major substation contracts worth SR364m ($99m) for projects in two of the kingdom’s economic cities.
The first deal is for a SR254m substation in Jazan Economic City, while the second is for a SR109.9m deal for King Abdul Aziz Medical City, the firm said in a statement.
alfanar Construction Company is already involved in several key projects valued at more than SR5bn ($1.3bn) for the Saudi Electricity Company and other utility companies.
Earlier this year the firm was awarded a substation project in Makkah West worth SR444m ($118.5m.) to increase electric capacity to meet the growing power demands in the holy city.
