The total value of non-oil exports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia declined by 21 percent in the past year, it was reported by Saudi’s official news agency on Sunday.
Government figures show that the total value of non-oil exports amounted to SR7.231m in February 2009, compared with SR9.098m in the same month in 2008 – a 21 percent fall off. Meanwhile, on the imports front, the total value of non-oil imports accounted for SR 24.837m in February 2009 compared with SR28.839m in the same month in 2008, registering a decrease of 14 percent, according to the Department of Statistics and Information.
