Sharaf wins enabling works for Creek Towers Plaza

Ground engineering company Sharaf Foundations has been awarded a contract for the enabling and piling work on The Creek Towers and Plaza at Dubai Maritime City.

Ground engineering company Sharaf Foundations has been awarded a contract for the enabling and piling work on The Creek Towers and Plaza at Dubai Maritime City.

Under the contract, the company’s work on the project has been divided into five major areas, which include shoring, piling, pile load testing, excavation and dewatering, over a total area of 69,371m2.

In addition, two concrete batching plants will be set up – each capable of delivering over 120m3 of concrete per hour – achieving the daily production target of 3000m3.

The company will also strive to achieve a Gold certificate for environmental compliance in accordance with the Leed rating system.

The project is expected to be completed in third quarter of 2009.
