Built in Stuttgart’s notorious ‘party mile’ that is Theodor Heuss-Strasse, the club T-O 12 was designed in remembrance of the fun-loving German president the street is named after.
In order to create a three-storey club that befitted its regenerated surroundings the owners employed the talents of architecture and communication firm Ippolito Fleiz Group along with graphic designers i-d buero. The result is a sleek visual appearance that focuses around a black and white urban theme combining mirrors, all back walls and ceilings with dramatic white illustrations juxtaposed with street-life objects such as streetlamps.
A free-standing, Corian U-shaped bar with a backdrop of black-stained, brushed wood and mirrored ceilings, giving extra height, welcomes guests on the ground floor. A surrounding smaller lounge area combines mirrors and ceilings dotted with LED lamps to make a space that appears infinite. Another is a black leather-clad space complete with illuminated, white tables beneath a mirrored ceiling.
The upper floor is strictly reserved for dance-goers with a dance floor enclosed by a fictitious panorama of Theodor-Heuss Strasse.
