Sending a child to school in the UAE could cost as much as AED5000 in uniform costs per year for one student. The North Collegiate London School Middle East can cost up to a whopping AED5000 for a student of Year 6.
Most UAE private schools require students to wear standardised uniforms. This can be purchased from schools, from the largest manufacturer and distributor of school uniforms in the UAE – Threads or from other uniform distributors in the country.
Threads was established in 2010 and since then services over 65 schools from a total of around 190 private schools in Dubai. Parents can purchase children’s uniforms through the online shopping portal or by visiting a location.
There are also schools that have partnerships with other uniform suppliers across the country to produce and distribute uniforms.
Uniform prices vary across various private schools in the country. Uniforms include multiple attire pieces like blazers, caps, long sleeve shirts, short sleeve shirts, trousers, shorts etc. for different uses including for P.E, summer, winter and more.
