Facility allows staff increase

The new expansion to the south of Jebel Ali Free Zone will host Supertech’s new AED 10 million facility, which will include office space, a warehouse, a showroom and a service centre.

The new expansion to the south of Jebel Ali Free Zone will host Supertech’s new AED 10 million facility, which will include office space, a warehouse, a showroom and a service centre.

With construction work now complete, inauguration of the facility took place on December 28, with operations due to commence imminently. According to Supertech director, Deepak Odhrani, the new development is long overdue. The company already has 70 staff operating out of its Dubai headquarters on Sheikh Zayed Road, which is almost 50% over-capacity. By the time the new facility opens, Supertech hopes to double its employee base.

“Now, we are not only serving Dubai, but the whole of the Middle East,” said Odhrani. “In order to facilitate our growing industry, we need to make sure our headquarters are strategically located in terms of export to all the countries we serve.”

With the high price of oil feeding the current surge in rig expansion both onshore and offshore, the company feels it is well placed to serve the UAE, the Middle East and the Sub-Continent.

“We deal with a lot of contractors to whom we act as distributors. By going to Jebel Ali we are moving very close to them. There are a range of services we are looking to adopt once we move into the new facility,” said Odhrani.
